Does anyone make their own bulk seed starting mix? If so, what is your recipe and where do you get your supplies?

This year I actually ordered a few bags of seed starting mix from a seed company. It wasn't too expensive and may be easier than making your own mix.

For starting seeds I use Pro-Mix BX but I do mix my own soil for transplants.
6 parts Peat, 2 parts Vermiculite, 2 parts All Purpose Sand

You can also try -
3 parts Peat to 1 part All Purpose Sand

You could use soil or compost but you will be getting into sterilizing a long stinky proses.

From past years of trying....I came to the stark realization that I'm not smart enough to get it as "right" as 'store bought', so.........
It's about the only thing, gardening-wise, that I splurge and spend money on.
