I've heard that, but don't really know. It doesn't seem likely, since pepper blooms have both male and female parts. Were those two peppers off the same plant?

In what way can peppers be either male or female? The flowers are perfect, which means they have both male and female parts and can even self-pollinate. I'll bet if you plant the seeds from either they will grow. And I'll bet both have seeds. How do two lobe or five lobed peppers classify?

Myth.

I think I saw a you-tube video on growing peppers in which the guy said that peppers are different sexes. Didn't make sense to me, but I have found I don't know everything.

I have heard that also, have no idea how one could know for sure. I prefer the ones with four lobes they stand up better when making stuffed bell peppers.
