So I nearly broke my back to give it to her... but she put on the finishing touches until we go pick out HER flowers! LOL

Adorable! How wonderful to be able to share your love of gardening with your daughter! Lets wait and see how long she likes watering and weeding! If she is like my daughter- they will be her flowers and your work! Enjoy!

Awww, I wish mine liked gardening. He likes the plants and picking but not planting. I have to start and plant it all myself (I usually hire a teenager to help me turn the beds and fill the buckets).

BUT I have plenty of picking help. And he loves water hose duty. I just hope he keeps the water on the plants this time.

I'm lucky I got her hooked on helping me weed. She likes to pull them and put them in a bucket to give the chickens. So she doesn't see it as work, we're collecting chicken treats.

This whole project was nice because we found a couple dz grubs and she picked them all up and gave them to the birds. Most of her digging however turned into muddy princess castles! LOL

That's so sweet :)
Unfortunately gardening didn't "take" with my boys. They gardened with me to a certain age, and then they got more opinionated and less fun to work with, so I let them jump ship. The rats!

How nice. :rainbow-sun I have fond memories of playing around in the little 3x3 section of the garden my mom gave us as kids. That looks to be just her size too. Not too much to overwhelm her. She'll be so proud of all the pretties she grew herself. :watering

So great to see the little gardening. From the time my children were very small (adults now) they always got seeds in their Easter basket. Carrot seeds of course and veggies and flower seeds they liked. It was great having them in the garden with me, although I ended up doing alot of theirs. They still talk about it but are not able to garden in their apartments yet.:celebrate

What a cute picture! The little garden will bring her much joy . Planting, nuturing, observing their growth...she will be thrilled when the flowers grow and mature, and she can pick them and put them in vases/jars..

Sparks, I to put seed pkt's and other related garden items, in my kids easter baskets...That was years ago, as my kids are college age and older now..But they sure appreciated it at the time..My kids each had their own little garden spot, and got to pick out what they wanted to grow, as to flowers and vegetables..They watered, and nurtured, not to fond of pulling weeds, but they tried..

My favorite home video and memory, is of my youngest son, (who was three years old at the time), helping my momma plant potatoes in the garden. He wore a straw hat and overalls, and walked behind momma and put a potato in the potato planter as she went along the row...Boy does he love his grandma and potatoes to this day!!
