It has been sunny and gorgeous the past three days. I've been singing The Temptations classic, I've Got Sunshine...... Saturday, I cleaned out the corn/butterbean bed and planted English peas. DH and I built a chicken wire bin yesterday and layered it with leaves and horse manure. We scooped up what was left of a round bale of hay too. The bottom of round bales are usually rotten and the horses don't eat that. This particular hay leftovers, they hung out on and peed and pooped all over it. YAY!! Gardeners LOVE poopy hay!! It is already composted! We wet the bin down real good with the water hose and next month I'll plant potatoes in it. Did that last year and the potatoes were huge and gorgeous!

Today, I have been trimming up dead stuff and doing clean up in the front yard. The dogs have laid out in the sun like lazy mutts. :D I have pulled weeds-still plenty of 'em! It's only 1:00, the sun is still shining and I gotta go back outside and sing to the dogs......
I Got Sunshine on Cloudy Day,
When it's cold outside,
I know it's far away
I guess you'd say
What could make me feel this way?
Tex-as (Tex-as)
Talking 'bout TEXAS!!

Bay' there's nothing you could say
Could tear me away from squash pie (Squash pie!)
Nothing you could do
'Cause I'm stuck like glue to shoo fly.
I'm sticking to magpie like a stamp to a letter
Like birds of a feather
We stick together.
I'm telling you from the start
We can't be torn apart so goodbye.

(Cow pie!)

Dang southerners, talking about gardening while we fix snow blowers getting ready for next shot. Can't see garden due to 12" of snow, furnace running. Evil, just plain evil, I tell you....

Grumble, grumble, grumble........

Well, this ol' EVIL Texas gal put a pitch fork handle in DH's hands and we went back for more horse poop! worked him all afternoon, then cruised the neighbor hood looking for leaves-got 15 bags! We put more leaves and poop in the potato bin and tossed horse poop on the pile of leaves on the other side of the yard. It's been a beee-yoo-tee-full day!!
