This year the snow peas are very strong and healthy looking. We got some rain on Friday! All the plants are now very happy!!

My Gypsy would say the peas are ready to eat. She tried a flower and found it had the same taste as a pea. She tried the pod and found it had the same taste as a pea. Seems I never get shelled peas anymore. Little 'vermin' clear the vines long before shelled peas are ready. That's a result of having a vegetarian mother I suppose -- they zoom in on anything growing. I wonder what pea leaves taste like?

Linn, you could show Gypsy how nasturium leaves are edible . . . Pea leaves - the end of the tendril, get 'em while the bloom is fresh or just as a tiny pod begins to form. Very, very nice . . .

Now, you'll have a "grazed" pea crop!

I knew this thread would make be jealous, Rebbetzin! I can't even see a green leaf outdoors - altho' I guess the snow might be going and we may have a brown Xmas . . . Oh wait, there are those evergreen trees off to the south!
