Forecast is 3 to 6 inches starting Sunday night into Monday. I am hoping there wrong, almost everything broke dormancy here. Do not want to deal with half a foot of snow on a Monday morning.

Good luck, NyBoy!

Maybe it will be a "warm" snow. Not only melting quickly but, you know, snow has a significant insulation property. Yeah, it may protect your herbaceous perennials by keeping them at soil temperature rather than the temperature of the atmosphere.

It has been snowing here several times, the last few days. Melts as it hits the ground. Clear and freezing overnight, then it's either cloudy aaallll the livelong day (!) or, it clears up with some big clouds that sprinkle snow :hide.

The greenhouse has been closed until next Thursday because the upcoming cold spell. All of the plants are back indoors under lights, as I will not try to heat the greenhouse with the temperature at 19 degrees F. So much for spring.
