It's @majorcatfish fault. Didn't want to hi jack his thread-but he started it!!!!!! Post pix. And tell why-if you know. Because he can chew it and play tug of war. Followed by his yellow ball.
Wren (heeler) doesn't have a specific favorite. Her favorite is whatever you can pick up and throw... for at least two consecutive hours or when your arm falls off, whichever happens first.
This is Wren and a small Jolly Ball made for horses. She likes to chew the handles off.
Sanglarkas favorite toy is Wren. Because she's such a great squeaky toy... and super fun to tease.
My Cee Cee does like her small red "jolly ball" almost identical to Wren's. I don't think it was for horses originally as it had a rope handle for tossing rather than a rubber one. Yup! The handle was chewed off asap, but the ball is still around two years later.
My dogs' favorite toys are each other...Jake never liked toys and Ben would just consume them, so no toys are bought for them. Closest thing they get to toys are some ginormous basted pork bones that look like they came off a dinosaur...they will carry those things around and gnaw on them for weeks and weeks. Anything smaller than the giant ones are swiftly consumed by Ben...as are any other items small enough to fit into his mouth.
Sorry...no pics of them with their bones or playing with one another but do have just pics. Ben's new toy is our kitten, Flash, who is fast enough to not be consumed by Ben, though Ben definitely has it in mind.
Polly (Aussie) Parker (black Lab/Great Dane) and Trip (Great Pyrenees) love to play with each other. These pics show Trip as a puppy, he's a big boy now. But they all still play together. When Trip is "at work" in the sheep pasture, his toy of choice is a plastic gallon milk jug. Cheap and easy to replace.
For Paris, she really doesn't play with toys, unless you count cats.
My pibble used to go through squeaky toys in her younger days, carefully pulling out all of the fluff a little at a time to find the squeaker. Then she'd press her nose into it against the carpet and just squeak, squeak, squeak away. I did find a few rubber squeaky toys over the years that she didn't tear up.
At almost 15, she doesn't have much play in her anymore, but spends her days pulling blankets off the couch and hoarding them.
I don't give my dogs toys, I give them raw hide chews. It keeps them busy when I want some nondoggy time after work.Be very careful of rubber and plastic toys if your dog chews them a part. I know many cases where dog swallowed the pieces and couldn't pass them needing surgery.
