I'm not gonna ask you what you do with your passwords because mine are written down on paper and secreted somewhere in the house. And, I'm not tellin' where!

I've thought of putting them in Evernote. It's for keeping notes, sharing notes, too. Except, you can put an individual note behind a second password beyond the log-in one. Of course, you have to get online to access this note and have those 2 Evernote passwords somewhere. BTW. Pinterest would also work somewhat this way. What you could do there is scan or photograph actual paper notes and upload them to their secure pinboards.

Now, there's True Key! But, there's also Dashlane, Sticky Password, etc., etc.! All these password managers! They actually do the log-in for you, on various sites - I guess. Anyway, some of them will fill out a form, like an order, automatically. Good Grief! Am I missing out on a more secure online life by not having them? Or, by having my hidden stash of paper notes living in the Dark Ages!?

And, where do you go for information about these and other things new, other than the trusted members of TEG?

I use the same password for everything and have done so for years. If I have to change it at all, due to the online bank making me change it every now and again, I just use a slight(same one each time)variation of that until I can change it back to the original when it's time to refresh passwords again.

I don't have to worry about someone stealing my password for any reason...I don't have enough money for anyone to steal and if they stole my identity for money making reasons, they'd be paying me to take it right back...my identity is pretty nigh worthless. ;)

I love not having to worry about such things. :love Keeps life simple.

I'm in the dark ages! Yep, they're written down on a piece of paper and not hidden very well. :hide

Steve, you impress me so much with your computer knowledge. Heck, I've never heard of all that password manager stuff you mentioned! Sounded greek to me. :p

What's wrong with writing things on paper? I guess if you forget where you put it, that could be a problem.
I'm sort of like Bee. I have just a few passwords and they are linked to early memories so they are easier for me to recall.
I used to have different passwords for everything. What a mess that was!
I kept them all in a little journal book. Next to the computer. :hide
It's a false security probably, thinking I'm so anonymous, but it is comfortable.

Well this is timely. I got kicked off TEG and couldn't find my sheet of paper with all my passwords on it. Finally found it, obviously. I don't trust my computer or my computer skills enough to store anything very important on there.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them, In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Not safe! I don't know about paying you to take it back, @Beekissed . A credit card account hack and your credit rating would never be the same and that would be after lots of hoops jumped thru, I'd bet. Maybe there's an app for that problem ;).

I have a mess in my loose-leaf notebook. Revised, revised, revised! Broke the binding. I'm carrying it from one room to another with this new wireless pc - don't like doing that. There's no telling where I might put it down along the route.

I use Firefox browser quite a bit. It asks me every time I enter a password if I want it saved. That must be the simplest but only my library accounts are saved in the browser. Hope the NSA doesn't have a direct line to catalog checkout or maybe it would be the browser browsing?

Mom used to have her SSA # written behind a picture on the wall. I think DW may have done that at one time. Hardly matters, I remember her SSA #, not that I really want to. I know next to none of my passwords - try to keep them short but make them irrational, that's my motto.

Having only one password would be how the manager would work.

I got kicked off TEG ...

As well you should have been! Posting all those grumbles. Rob was notified when you started posting the pictures of mangled traffic accident victims! Asking for credit card numbers! Fees for awards from foreign lotteries, found inheritances, schemes for moving ill-gotten money out of off-shore bank accounts ...!!

There was also some uncharacteristic Tai-chi information and baked cookie recipes!!!! You just better mend your ways, Missy!
