This morning while feeding the chickens, I thought I saw some orange color... and pulled back the leaves... and there it was the first Nasturtium of the season! It is such a bright orange the photo really doesn't do it justice.

Rebbetzin, was the plant already growing for sometime? Like perhaps it didn't die back in the fall? Please tell me you didn't just plant the seed a month ago!

I'm a bit jealous of your climate, rebbetzin! My nasturtiums have a long way to blooming, but at least they are not buried under snow!

They'll have their day in the garden.

I once planted nasturgium seeds and the plants were a little invasive. Years later, I'm still pulling tiny plants out. It's almost fun when I find one!

It's amazing how long some seeds remain viable out in the dirt!

I want to grow nasturtiums this year for the first time and just got some seeds. I'm adding a variety of edible flowers to my vegetable garden, and nasturtiums and nutritious and good in salads.
