One of our Early girl tomatoes has a spot on it, I havnt saw spots on any of the other tomatoes but I havnt really dug through the plant either. Do you think it is something or nothing?

We are hoping it is nothing. If it is a disease what should we do?

I am inclined to think it is sunscald, Collector.

Scroll down to the photo on this Colorado State website:

Common Tomato Problems

I find CSU a fairly good source for information and quite appropriate to our part of the world.

thank you steve, I think you are right! I saved that page good info and pics there.
Do you think the tomato should be picked and tossed on the compost pile?

If it doesn't start to deteriorate, the spot can be cut out when the tomato is ripe.

Which way I'd go would depend on how many other fruits are on the plant.

If it is loaded with others, I would likely sacrifice it.
