spring rain in the desert !

you can have some of ours Desertlady... mother nature seems to be making up for the dry winter...we have had rain on and of for almost 2 weeks now...too wet to work in the garden :hit ...it got rototilled and is sitting there waiting for me to set up the raised beds....

oh I feel your pain ! :( Blow those clouds over here !! During our summer we can get nastys storms and will do damage here. But we dont get that often.

I believe you told us that you are in Arizona, right? Rain there is probably mostly appreciated most any time. Mostly because most of your months, you don't have much, right ;)?

New Mexico has a monsoon season. I'm sure it isn't like Bangladesh or anything but summer is when rain can be expected. It seems kind of odd to the westerners further north. The weather out of the Pacific and northern Mexico shows up in NM.

I bet there is the same problem with NOAA cluing us in how this weather is showing up that they have up here close to Canada. I wish they'd just reach some agreement with the Canadians about using Canadian weather radar. NOAA maps darn near stop at the border.

You got that right ! I hear El Nino is on our way ! . meaning more rain for Arizona this year !! YAY!!

Summer started May 8th here this year. Last year summer started June 8th here. Just something about the warmth of the breeze.

I am so glad you are getting rain down there in the desert!

Put some rain barrels under your drain spouts, 5 gallon jugs, clean gallon milk containers, rinsed out shampoo bottles, tea cups and thimbles!

We hope to get much needed rain this year! Last year Half of Arizona was under fire! Mostly cause by humans:(
