Squash are finally starting to produce!

Our garden got started so late this year that it seems we have been waiting forever to harvest! This week we are finally getting a few summer squash and I see tons of little green tomatoes set, so hopefully we will get some "red" very soon!

Made an interesting observation this morning when I went out to water - there were literally hundreds of bugs flying around the squash and tomatoes plants and I got a bit nervous. As I stuck my face closer to check it out I realized that the flyers were bees and wasps! The bees were very busy moving from flower to flower and the wasps were apparently looking for pests to eat. Talk about a win-win!!!
