starting late cabbage varieties?

When should i start late season cabbage varieties that take longer to grow (100 something days)? 8 weeks before last frost like early cabbage of mid summer? thanks in advance!

I start late varieties at the same time as I start the earlies . . . Young plants would probably fry if they went out in my garden in July.

It must be different , in different parts of the world.
