starting sweet corn early

several large farms started sweet corn early last year with a goal of july 4th harvest. I think they all missed by like a week but I wanted to know if anyone here has tried it and how they did it.

Oh course Im refering to those of us in a cooler climate.

How do you mean? Corn really does not like being transplanted.

Im talking in the ground with plastic over it to warm it.
