Stevia-anybody try this plant?

I finally found Stevia at Lowes. Anybody have any luck with it?

I had a plant of it last year, its good to use to sweeten teas and such but when using the leaves fresh green it gives an almost chemically taste that isn't too good. I think if you were to dry the leaves first then use them they wouldn't have so much of that taste.

I've never tried it but we have ordered it and used it for a sweetener! . I would like to get it some time you say you got it at lowes? I'll have to look at the lowes near me!

I had some last year and dried the leaves to use in my tea. Otherwise I just chewed the leaves for a sweet treat while working in the garden.
