It is probably a good time to be moving perennials around here but I think the calendar may have passed the date for any veggie annual to benefit from a move.
Mid-40's and foggy here ..! Seems like I could have given some Bok Choy some more room about 3 days ago. Funny how some plants really seem to benefit but they are all set back a few days by transplanting. Timed right, it can delay bolting while allowing for larger plants. It has been decades since I tried direct-sowing some cabbage in the spring. A combination of these approaches is probably best but I don't really remember how that cabbage did ...
How about now, in your garden? Are you still moving the bok choy, "situating" salad greens, giving a spinach plant to be overwintered a good home?
