couple years ago we got invaded with stink bugs inside the house during the fall/winter dispatched 20-30 everyday.
last winter 2013/14 with the "polar vortex" it decimated the population the smart ones got in inside.
the rest froze to death boo woo . this winter we have had only a handful, hows everyone elses population doing?

Never had any inside the house. Some in the garden back in 2011, but that was it. Haven't seen many since.

On one of those days that we had a record high ..

. (there have been 4 such record high February afternoons) ..

. a fly or something was at the backdoor. I didn't let it come in.

We have had a lot of those fake ladybugs that taste awful (ask me how I know) Is that what you mean? They are reddish brown instead of red. But not as many this year as in some past years.

I had two show up in a recent warm spell, but the numbers overall have been way lower than about 5 years ago. I am hoping some pathogen caught up with them, because at that time they were awful!

My BFF up the road has more than her share of Asian lady bird beetles and boxelder bugs walking the ceiling and walls this winter. Comes from having a 150 year old stone house, I suppose. My newer house hasn't had a single visitor from either family of arthropods.
