hi haven't been around in a while

I have a question, how can I store some of these very small taters and onions I harvested

(your cool ideas of growing above ground beds in leaves and mulch worked very nicely)

these are too small, and I don't really want to fuss over them.. can I mulch them into a basket into the garage, or bury them deep in the yard, or something, dry them out?
not really sure, I would like to forget about them and just bring em back out in the spring to try to grow them (maybe that is a pipe dream)

any ideas

thanks

I don't want to rain on your parade... but I doubt you will be able to keep small potatoes and onions until spring. I am not saying you shouldn't try the experiment, though. Generally speaking the smaller the potato the faster it starts going soft. If you are going to give it a try, I would use peat moss or sawdust and store them in a cool, dry place. Good luck!

Not sure where you are thrifty- but if I were you, I would go ahead and plant those onion sets. It is very likely that they will winter over, and grow into "real" onions next spring. Eat the potatoes- they will be delicious!
