Strawberries ate by goat

if most of the leaves on a strawberry plant are ate by a goat will they still grow... I should I be buying more.

I have a feeling I know what you are going to say.

Brewerfam5, welcome to TEG. I am not an expert on strawberries but I think as long as the roots are still intact the plant will regrow. Glad you joined the forum.

ETA, I hope you have the goat seperated from any plants you want to keep LOL.

I would be patient and wait to look for new growth, they are going to have to heal a bit once they start new growth before they flower again though. Mine have survived some bad eatting by the ducks and came back for me.

Welcome!! My Dh got one of those flame thrower weeding things. Nothing is safe. One of my strawberries had sent a runner out into the aisle. Nothing is allowed to grow in the aisle!!!! This was a good looking plant, with green strawberries on it. Yes, he burnt it. I figured it was a goner. But, alas, it is green and growing. As long as the goat's didn't dig them up and eat the root, I think they will live.

they should come back just fine , my dad use to mow his over when they ran to far and they still came back
