Today i cleaned out and attempted to till my flower beds got one done and ready. But the other i found out (the hard way i might add) that because it doesn't get as much sun was half frozen. Got half way between the stoops and -thud- frozen freaking solid

I waited for the early thawing before starting to dig postholes.

About a month after I began - in considerable tree shade - I dug the last 2 holes between my chicken house and the neighbor's garage. There is only sun at this time of the year for the briefest moment at mid day. Yep, frozen but soggy too and I got through it. I hope the concrete is okay down there.

Will this bed have sunlight in the summer? What will you be planting?

It has a hosta that i love and wanna steal if i ever have to move. Also some daffodils pop up randomly through both of the beds. I'm gonna plant my cannis bulbs again this year. it gets good sun until about noon but it gets more in summer
