I recently bought an Aeonium succulent which I have found out is called either Zwartkop or Black Rose. I was told it would be fine with a few hours of direct sunlight and have tried placing it in my eastward-facing windowsill. It gets about 4 hours of direct sun in the morning and then is shaded. The 'pedals' are now starting to droop after about 4 days. Is this bad? Does it need more light? I live in San Diego so temperatures are pretty favorable all the time and there's almost always intense, direct, unfiltered light available...

Could it be heat damage? I suppose it depends on how warm it is really... Do you have a photo?
