The mobile chicken coop was there for awhile. So chicken poop and some pine shavings that broke down.how has that area been different? has it been treated different? does it get more rain, or more sun, more wind, was there anything added to the soil? watered differently? something buried in the ground there? there could be a lot of different causes.
It gets the same amount of sun all day as all the other spots. I also water it the same.how has that area been different? has it been treated different? does it get more rain, or more sun, more wind, was there anything added to the soil? watered differently? something buried in the ground there? there could be a lot of different causes.
Thankfully these ones I put inside the fenced in garden to keep the deer away. Now once they flower and Seed it's The Sparrows I have to worry about LOL I was mostly worried if it was a problem if I want to keep seeds from these but I might end up just giving these ones to the chickens to eat and collect seeds from the other ones that didn't do this weird Leaf thingy.might be more compacted in that area, but i'd not really worry about it at this point. the plant is still alive and not eaten by deer. around here at this time of the year for a sunflower that might mean i get a chance of seeing it flower.
That area soil is a little compacted. So I feel you are right.results of soil compaction or uneven watering is how i would read that.
