I'm about ready to plant sweet peas. Has anyone seen sweet pea seeds in the stores that are for interesting varieties? I would like an all pink mix. I don't like to order seeds. I prefer to buy them in stores. Wal-Mart had several varieties, but they are all multi-colored mixes. I'd like an all-purple variety of seeds and an all bright pink variety. All suggestions will be appreciated.

There are plenty of varieties. You should realize that they inter pollinate so if seeds drop and sweet peas come up next year, you really will not know what the colors are until they bloom. So.....if you like a particular variety, plant just those.

I can't find the variety I like. Walmart had it a few years ago, but not this year. That's why I was asking whether other stores carry other varieties. I think it was Pink Perfection, or something like that?

Unfortunately, for very specific varieties, I've had to order some things online. I would much prefer to find them local, but it seems like all stores are cutting what they stock in many depts.

If you have a nursery close by I would try there. Our nurseries carry many more brands and varieties than the big stores and price is comparable. You could also call them, they usually are more helpful at checking their stock for you or would know off-hand if they have them.

It's been a while since I've grown them but I was looking at the sweet peas at Swallowtail Seeds site this year .. omg gorgeous!
Too many things this year... but next year for sure!!
