What, no medlar or persimmon trees, Beavis?
Gosh, you have things I am not even familiar with seeing :ep.

Okay, here are some crops that were the very last in my garden: kale, leeks, arugula and Asian mustard. They survived repeated frosts and the mustard even continued to grow into November whenever the weather brought us rain for a few days instead of clear skies and frost.

I know that many plants can survive frost and that freezing temperatures aren't frequent even during the winter there. However, the hemisphere of my brain where gardening is analyzed  froze when snow covered the ground here and the thermometer dropped below zero.

There are varieties? Well, I guess that shouldn't be surprising . And, the Myers Lemon is in some people's homes as an indoor plant.

Calomondin? What's that? I suppose I could check Wikipedia . . .

Minneola? It is some kind of citrus, seems that I remember :/.

Pomegranate? I am sure that I have no idea what that tree (bush?) looks like, even if I am familiar with the fruit (and juice).

And a Medlar? I don't know what that is . . . just that it is similar to a persimmon. And, there's the jam . . . Unlike some, I like persimmons and can even eat them, not quite ripe. In fact, I've got some in the kitchen now :)! Perhaps, it is only because I like them that I've looked for the trees on visits to places where they can grow .
