Getting a manicure. Senseless for me, I USE my hands! The idea of getting fake nails, those long talons I see women wearing is utterly foreign to me.

I don’t like shopping, I have better things to do. I get what I want and go home. Like @Pulsegleaner i cannot stand watching sports, especially on TV. In person it might be fun, but tickets to games have gotten stupid expensive.

Spending more than one day at the beach. One day is fun, second day is getting boring, third day is driving me insane with boredom. A week vacation on a beach would be punishment for me.

Working on or washing my car. After more than 30 years of working on them I will pay you to do it.

Mowing grass! Most time consuming job as you either buy an expensive mower to get rid of excess growth or spend time fixing older stuff. Then there is the non stop sharpening or replacing blades.... not to count the time doing nothing as you mow.....
Lol! I agree!

doing dishes. Vacuuming. HATE BOTH.
I don't like washing dishes
Watching sports. I can kind of get why playing a sport might be fun (not for me, but I get the idea). But just sitting there and watching other people play? Seems really pointless to me. And OBSESSING about sport teams you have no actual connection to seems crazy.

Shopping is sort of a double thing for me. I actually like shopping and buying things quite a lot, but I don't particularly like shopping with my MOM (which I end up doing quite a lot). It's because we have different approaches. I'm a hunter, she's a grazer. When I go into a store, I head to the places where the things I am looking for are, check if they're there, grab them if they are and head for the counter. If there is a section that has no chance of containing anything I could want or need, I don't go there. Mom however, will go down every single aisle ten or more times just to see what kind of things they are carrying, and to wait to see if anything else she might need might occur to her. That means that I get done with my part WAY before she does, and wind up wandering disconsolately through the store, my back getting increasingly more achy, while she finishes up. I can't help her to get her stuff to make things faster, because she doesn't KNOW what her stuff is.

I'm also not super fond of the fact that she waits until she is in line to try and find her store cards and the card she wants to pay with, so she holds up everyone else. Or here tendency to forget within the time between when she put them in her bag and needs to take them out again WHERE she put her keys in her purse (I don't mean they have fallen to the bottom, I mean she doesn't bother to remember which pocket she stored them in five minutes ago.)
I totally agree with the sports obsession. I rather read a book or take a nap lol

I got manicure once in my life and that was for my wedding. I wouldn't let her put fake nails on lol.
I tolerate the beach for my kids but I don't personally like the beach at all.

Dear Bay, how can I agree so much with all your points!

I wear nothing on my hands, no watch, no ring, completely nothing. When DH proposed to me, the first thing I told him was that I didn't need a ring.

He didn't believe it. After some serious discussions, I agreed to buy a pair of rings that cost less than 150US$. Now he believes, as my ring is always sleeping in the corner of one drawer. 😅

i always bring books with me when i go places i might get stuck for a while. even if i have to take books i've read before. one way of enjoying a beach vacation for me was when we had a bunch of friends all get together and rent a big place for a week, that ways i had enough different people to talk to and if the group got to be too big i could step out and take a break. walking along the beach is usually very interesting to me and even more so if the coastline has some tidal pools or reefs you can see.

i don't normally watch tv but i now watch some youtube things because i like geeky science stuff and there are some really interesting people who can actually explain topics i don't understand (then i might have a chance of understanding them :) ).

some sports i can watch on tv but as soon as the commercials kick in i tend to go find something else to do. Mom watches a lot of things on tv with the sound off because the announcers and/or commercials are so annoying and i agree. if it wasn't for public tv i'd probably not have one. we don't get cable tv here or satellite tv. just whatever the local stations still put out digitally.

"Most People 🔝" If there is something that you don't like to do, remember that you are not alone no matter what it is :).

I'll say something about habits.

Habits help but aren't necessarily a remedy for a bad memory. If you do something the same way, everyday for 10 years, you have done it 3,650 times. If you do it 3 times each day for 10 years, it's nearly 11,000 times! (I may have miscounted a few Leap Days ;).)

Then the question is: "did I do that already?" How the Heck are you supposed to remember if you last did the deed this morning, at noon or in the evening? Was it just now or are you remembering having done it 11,000 times before ?

I've had the same garage door to unlock & lock for nearly 30 years. I sometimes unlock it and leave the key in the lock. I'm not worried about it because I don't think of any of my neighbors as thieves. However, I don't want to leave the key in the lock overnight. The keys "on the dryer" near the back door don't just have the garage key on the ring. There's a key for both vehicles and the house doors. I left that ring of keys in the garage door one night about 10 years ago. The second time I left it there was THIS year. I don't want to touch that key ring again! I will use the keys that I carry with me when I'm away from home. They stay on the book shelves beside my bed so there is a chance that if they are not there -- I'll notice their absence.

I suppose it's all a matter of the type of store. Put me in a store where there is a lot of stuff which interests me, and I'll comb the aisles just as much as she does. Once I enter Second Mouse (our cheese store) I comb EVERYTHING looking for stuff I might want. Ditto Home goods; I may stay in the food section, but I will run through each aisle of that three or four times to make sure I have missed nothing, AND run through the checkout line BACKWARDS after depositing my other stuff (so I can see everything available on the impulse buying shelves between the checkout points, since there are different things in each one.)
If you think that is funny, @Cosmo spring garden, bear in mind that, even WITH all of this effort, I STILL more often than not wind up not finding the things I actually want until we have almost checked out, because everything is so jumbled (as it usually is in places where everything is a clearance and there isn't enough of much of anything to give it a row to itself. We were just about to check out when I finally saw a bag of mojito gummi bears (which is what I had actually gone in to look for). And the time before last, I wound up sprinting across all of the checkout aisles to get my ham flavored potato chips onto the counter before we were done (ham is actually a pretty common flavor for potato chips that come from Spain. Others are honey mustard, fried egg, caviar, chorizo, and lemon pepper).

For me it's shopping at a store. I can do online shopping but I absolutely loathe going to a store and moseying around. I get so mentally tired I feel like I just ran a marathon. Most of my girl friends love to go shopping and thrifting. Just the thought makes me tired 😆.

So what about you?
The drive to visit family. Once I'm there, it's all good... No, I don't want to stop and get food. No, I don't want to go take a looksee at that cool thing over there... Nope, I can hold it... can we just be there already?? 😅😂
