Nice lookin' truck! Too bad it's a Ford.... :( ;) :D Good thing is it's already setup for some frequent towing with that strong grill guard/towing attachment. :p

Nice truck Valley.

We've had lots of Fords too. Our problem was buying them used with high mileage. That's where DH got so good at rebuilding engines and switching out transmissions. :(

I understand the later model Fords have been rated very high in the reliability scores.

The best one we had was a '97 Ranger that we bought new. Got a lot of good mileage on it, then a deer totaled it.

I like the old Ford F150 square bodies from the 70s and 80s. I like how they look even still...for some reason they just looked meatier than the trucks nowadays.

Me too. My husband proposed to me in his '71 F150 back in "77. :love

We had that truck forever, went through a couple engines, and he replaced the 3 speed column shift with a 4 on the floor tranny.
Lots of happy camping trips in that old thing. It was his work truck and we just wore it out. Finally had a wrecking yard haul it off in '02. I think I got a little misty as it disappeared down the road.

Good memories!!! I too have some memories of the Ford F150s from the 70s and 80s, most of them dealing with romance as well. ;)
