Maybe your wife just doesn't understand that fish are such discriminating creatures they wouldn't be caught dead hanging from the wrong pole, much less swallowing anything but the best lures.

yes that 1st part is so true..

it's all about presentation presentation presentation ....

I had to laugh at this, as I am on the opposite end in a way. I don't get to fish a lot, but when I do, I have separate tackle boxes and poles for fresh/salt water. I've been to Walmart recently and, yes, I was disappointed myself by the lack of casting spoons and rod selection. What I did find was shockingly overpriced.
My husband doesn't enjoy fishing as much as I do, but I grew up in a family where you were the black sheep if you didn't fish!

dang even dicks was picked though got line worms shot hooks, decided to drive over to gander mountain since they are going out of business.

picked up more worms hooks, walked over the gun dept picked up 1000rds of 22, 2 clips for the 22, 4 boxes of 9mm, last packs of 25' and 100 yrd targets.
walked the gun cases stopped and drooled over a sig 9mm, really want a compact. clerk asked what i was looking for pointed to the sig. he got it out of the case sweet gun fits my hand perfectly. he said if i purchased today he would knock off another 10% looked at the wife, if looks could kill a sale that one did...oh well.

walked over the register "poof" there went my wallet mad money.
