Since it is so hot here, Cherokee plays outside after the sun goes down at night. The temperature is still in the 90's here.
But at least the sun is not beating on you!

Last night he found an old gallon milk jug I had used for rooting some vines. I planted the vines in a pot, and turned around, and he had taken my jug!! Things he thinks he is not suppose to have are his favorite things. He loves to play "Keep Away From Mama!"

First you have to flatten the jug.

Then you get a good grip on it.

Then you run really fast so Mom can't catch you.

When you are all tired out, you just stand there and look very innocent.

Hansom? Cheap toys? He's stolen the jug and he's shown no remorse.
Cherokee probably picked up on the clue -- with Mommy laughing her head off while she chased him -- that his infraction was not all that serious.

Honestly, how could you stay angry at a face like that?

Just wait until next time when it's an important letter or the neighbor's baby that he's playing "keep away" with. . . .

I know, I know!... So far... He has played keep away only outside, and only twice with things he is REALLY not suppose to have. Both times, I left the laundry room door open, he got a sock one time and a little mesh bag for washing delicates the other time. The sock he dropped when I said drop it! The bag was quite another story! I wound up having to throw it away.

He has a great sense of humor! I really try to keep important things where he can't get them. Prevention is always better than trying to find a cure!

Beautiful dog @rebbetzin , and he's keeping you in shape too. :)

Our lab had a similar Winter activity, with one of those returnable milk jugs. He would pick it up by the handle and run around the half wall between my kitchen and living room. Round and round, all the daycare kids would run after him until everyone was tuckered out. When it's ten below zero the 'no running in the house' rule was overlooked.

I had always wanted to have a litter of puppies just once in my life. When my last Dalmatian died shy of 10 years old I was so sorry she had never had puppies. So when I got my darling Lily I was certain that would be in my future. They she started eating my house. The only reason to have puppies would be to keep one. Then I would have 2 house eaters. And Dal's can have a lot of puppies in one litter. What if I couldn't find homes for them? I could end up with 6. She was spayed first chance....

My son's dalmatian mix eats everything, too. He even ate the plastic milk jug. He is getting better, now, though. He is over a year old.
