Yesterday I planted the cucumbers, and today I planted the tomato seedlings, so the greenhouse is mostly operational for the season. I still have a few Turkish eggplant and Corno Di Toro pepper plants to pot, but I am holding off on them for a while yet. The small plants in front of the autopots are annuals and more vegetables for my soil garden; while the monster plant in the back is the Giant Marconi that I have been growing since Christmas. The plant still has peppers that are just starting to turn red and I am looking forward to enjoying them!

It all looks so neat and tidy. My growing area in the basement (with lights) usually looks like a tornado came through. :/

Ah, a kindred soul who grows vegetables in their basement. ;) I will continue to grow salad greens, beet greens, herbs and chard in my basement all season. It is not worth trying to grow them out doors fighting bugs and critters. We have not purchased salad greens in years, and, I have no need of pesticides whatever. :)
