It is always a surprise when I look out at my flower gardens and see them blooming. Seems once the foliage dies back I forget where they are. I think earlier this summer there was a discussion on other names for this Lily. ;) @Smart Red are yours blooming yet?

Yes. That is, one naked lady is flowering. The others are still sleeping with nary a sign of where they'll be popping up. Those stems really do seem to pop up overnight, don't they?

Probably because there is no foliage. That all comes up in the spring them dies back. Now the stems pop up (almost overnight ) and bloom. the are also known as Resurection lily & surprise lily.

We have a pink lily that is similar we call it a rain lily. But I don't have any. :hit

You know, I used to spend a lot more time in the kitchen but then, DW took the cushions off the kitchen chairs.
