I had to put an exclamation mark on that title because it was duplicated above and the text was so large and . . . exciting!

Probably, I should apologize for doing so much talking about the weather and for posting so many threads on Rambling. You know how it is: I'm not rambling around much - certainly not in the garden. For me, it's the time of year to be sitting in the south window and just hoping to see the sun come up:love.

Let's see over the horizon -- Looks like Lake Effect Snow in New York!

There's a big storm in southern Oklahoma and all of that is moving into southern Missouri! I'm not sure where Ridgerunner is in Arkansas. If the northern part - he's gonna get it too!

28°f here. That's the warmest morning since the 1st. WS says all the way to 40° later this week and a chance of rain. Oh boy, wouldn't want to get on bare ground with the pickup if it rains! Must be a foot of frozen ground, a skiff of snow right now, it would be like trying to drive out of pudding if it rains!

Steve
now how do i post this thing . . . ah! "create a thread"

Ack!

I'm double posting!

Unfamiliar forum software and a dodgy computer . . . I gotta save letters to a disc and either get this thing to the shop or buy a new one! Shoot.

This new format is like diving into a pool blindfolded for me....let's see, weather is not too bad! I'm glad to see some snow finally, it was so thin and so cold that I was worrying about my new fruit trees, even though I mulched them well before the temperature dropped so drastically. Right now the digital thermometer says 34 degrees, the window one says a sliver over 30 and the one on the trellis says 40. Okay, that ones gotta be wrong.... o_O

Regarding weather: My wife and I are absolute babies when it comes to cold. We're super spoiled where we live, but even that being the case, my wife acts like she's living in the Arctic once it drops below 60 (mittens, scarves, big puffy jackets, etc.). People ask her if she's feeling ok or coming down with a cold! ;)

Steve, regarding the software: Hopefully this software runs as smoothly as the old software, but just with some new features. If you (or anybody else) are having problems, definitely keep me posted with a new thread in feedback section so we can try to figure them out!

Thanks!!!

It's finally cold. Kept warming up & making everything mush. Not pudding thankfully but messy enough. I'd rather have frozen ground than mush.

Calling for six inches of snow tomorrow. That means I'll have to shovel my way back to the ducks and chickens. We already have a good 2-3 inches! :tongue

I'd rather have my ground frozen anytime, at least then the ducks won't make a mess of it. They just have a little too much fun in mud!

seedobsessor, I know what you mean about the mud, my poor chicken run is nothing but mud :barnie:( Monty had to put a few heat lamps out there in the coop the other day, it got down to 10 and wind chills around 0
I have a feeling it's going to be a nasty cold winter.

When it's not mud it's ice. We may have a lot of ducks, but we also have 9 big goose butts that keep trying to bath in our small water bowls! Ice is more preferable than mud though.

Lowest temp we had so far is 8*. Looks like that 6 inches of snow we were supposed to get missed us. Phew!

Take this old man winter! :plbb
