The weather report said possible thundershowers and I think we might have some coming. It's been hot and muggy (muggy is unusual for San Diego) all day and now there is a cool breeze springing up. I hope so. I love a good thunderstorm. It gets my blood stirred up and I can use some rain.
There's a wid mama cat with her kittens stirring around in my yard looking nervous. That's a good sign. Cats hate electricity in any form. You'll seldom see a cat get a shock from an electric fence. They can detect the electrical field as soon as they get close.

Hoping you get exactly what you wish for! My golden retriever goes crazy when thunder is on the way. She literally stands right under me- if I had a skirt on she'd hide behind it!

After a summer of severe drought, we have had three rainfalls within a week's period. 0.55, 0.1, and last night 0.3 inches. Dare I hope our drought is over with us getting nearly a full inch in one week?

Still, I doubt I'm going to risk a fall garden.

Looks like I'll have to settle for heavy fog. I can see it creeping up the mesa. It's about half way here now and moving up steadily.

I feel like we are about to be blown away here. Wind gusts above 30mph yesterday, fell to 20's last night and are supposed to go above 40mph today! Blowing dust because the total August rainfall of 1/8th of an inch fell about 3 weeks ago; altho' I was struck by several drops yesterday morning.

I could have been struck by something more dramatic. Lightning strikes have caused 70 to 80 fires around here.

52F this morning so it isn't exactly cold. I suppose that it is quite a bit warmer on the firelines.

The mountains in Southern California are getting more rain than they can handle but none of it is making its way to the coastal areas.
