Thinking About Having A Sale

This July 4 holiday I should be filled. Kennel not even half full. Not sure if because holiday is mid week or because of loss clients from kennel cough. Last night a client called me her AC went out, repairman had no idea when they would come. She wanted to know if I could pick up her dog and bring to kennel. She lives about a mile from me in a giant apartment building in down town White Plains. When i turned on her block I could not believe how many people where out walking their dogs. I have a Idea to get new clients in the door A sale 25% off new client 1st grooming. I never had a sale but I do give discounts to people who ask. When Carol calls me later about her dog going to ask if building as a news letter. I would make up flyers but it is against the law to put them up on trees or telephone poles.

Good Idea, No need to go 25% they would be happy with 10 to 20% I am sure.

Maybe a word of mouth sale? Give a small discount or bonus (special bows/treats/extra play time with boarders) to current clients if a new one comes in and gives their name?

there are usually places/bulletin boards in libraries and grocery stores where people can post flyers for services. also some apartment buildings have them too, but not sure about policies of each of them. most i've seen post whatever the rules are too. good luck.

Wednesday holiday with heat had to slow people from leaving on vaca. Like idea of referral discount.

Nyboy, I suggested giving a discount to new clients on your kennel cough post. All you have to do is send an email to all of your current clients telling them to tell their friends and neighbors about the special discount for first timers.
