The great thing about living where i do is all the live entertainment. I can go see some kind of show every night of the year if I wish. I know few members here don't share my taste in music. I just purchased tickets to see Carol Burnett in April. I grew up watching the Carol Burnett Show Sat nights. Can't wait should be a laught.

I like live theater but I'm not crazy about comedy. Give me Phantom of the Opera any day over comedy.

i like Carol Burnett when i was a kid but i haven't see much of her the past few years. i grew up with a lot of comedy as a kid/teen. anything Mel Brooks, Stooges, Monty Python, etc and i have probably seen it many times and still can't get enough watching it! i got to see George Carlin the year before he passed away down at Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom.

i admit, my love of music is varied, not a big fan of the 80's pop music, and don't care for most rap. i do love big band, rock-old and new, blues, dance-electronica and some pop with a decent beat, and the occasional bit of country depending on the artist. there are times i've seen some tickets for bands i might want to see but i just don't have the money or the night the show is scheduled is really not convenient.

I loved Carol Burnett and never missed her show. How lucky you are!

Her autobiography is very interesting. She came from such humble beginnings, and never forgot it.

What people don't realize is what a ground breaker she was. Comedy was male dominated before her, she helped open the door for woman in comedy.
