Its just my wife and I who eat salsa and I saw some on sale at my local big box store. I was tempted but I saw I need 2 to get a good amount of fruit. Is it worth it then? Or should I just get some at the store if they have them? I see them occasionally but I don't know anything about them other than what Wiki says.

They needed for salsa?

Or just green sauce?

Worthwhile? Thing to be aware of etc?

Thanks folks

I grow them. They can be a "thug" and take over if you don't keep them under control. Mine grow like crazy! But, because of our high summer heat, and a lack of water, the fruit stays pretty small some years. They come up volunteer now in my garden, I just transplant them when they pop up in various places.

They are not really needed for most Salsa recipes. I use them to make a nice green sauce with ground almonds and green chilis. It works great on enchiladas.
