the ten day forcast calls for warm. i think i'm in the clear. 3 celebrities, 1 sweet 100, 1 roma, 1 black krim, 1 mr. stripey, and 1 other that i don't remember the name. last year i had tomatoes running down the driveway. i couldn't give them all away. i hope this year i do at least half as decent. we'll see.
peppers still waiting patiently to go out

Yay!!

Good Luck!

I am curious about that Mr. Stripey. Is it a standard size slicer? Or, is it plum-sized?

The British and Canadians have a "Mr. Stripey" that I've grown before. It is plum-sized. It is called Tigerella in the US. There is a southern variety known as Mr. Stripey that is much larger, different shape, even a different color!

Oh, and I want you to remember the name of that last tomato even if you have to stay up all night . . . kidding!

Steve :p

this 'stripey' is the southern variety. i've heard good things about it so i'm giving it a try. it's a slicer.
and don't be telling me to stay up thinking about it - cuz i Will! i'll be tiptoeing out in the middle of the night to look at that tag so my mind will give it a rest. lol
we've had the crummiest weather the last week. cold north wind blowing 30 mph for days on end. ugh! Finally last night it broke. i think we're done with winter. yep!

Sleep . .

. is important.

Tomatoes don't ripen fruit for months after transplanting. Dream of tomatoes, lot of tomatoes . . .
