Detlor Poultry
Attractive To Bees
Here is a list of the easiest-to-reproduce flowers that I can grow...
- Sunbells - Oenothera -
This plant (I believe) is an annual - I have never seen it come back up in the same place, although I haven't explored it's root system to see if, like phlox, it spreads by root. In any case, this plant not only suppresses weed growth, but it spreads all over the place without any help from you. It's also very beautiful.
- Jacob's Ladder - Polygo-something or other -
I had to destroy a flock of these plants because the variety was patented, and although the plant was propagating itself and I had no intention of making money of of it, I was morally forced to berid my garden of it. I replaced the plants with Chimney Bluebells and an O/P variety of Jacob's Ladder. This is gonna sound stupid, but I can't figure out where the seeds are on these plants (although I know what the seed pods look like), but I don't need seeds as it's beyond easy to root them. The rootings don't need hormones or dainty handling - my chickens propagated some Jacob's Ladders last season by scratching off shoots. They are tough little things as well. I had alot of trouble killing the pattented ones (and i haven't even wanted to kill the O/P ones!)
- Forget Me Not - Myosotis -
This annual is famous for recreating itself by seed. Need I say more?
- Farewell to Spring - Godetia -
This annual is basically just like Forget me Not in it's propagation. It's also very easy to germinate seeds indoors, and it is a nice, tough little plant.
