On the TV news today ... I just saw just about the last half end of the report as my TV just came on. A organic grower man purchased a flame thrower torch to burn h'seeds in his yard and garden from Harber Freight . Last weekend he started his torch and started to burn his weeds. The next thing he knew was that his clothes were on fire and he burned his hand and arm severly and ended up in the hospital. Playing with fire may be harmful to one's health. :caf

sure thing! also, i wouldn't consider it a good thing in general, to waste energy to deal with weeds. especially when you can smother them or harvest them for worm food or ... well, just leave 'em alone. this idea that everything has to be pristine and weed free is a mental illness IMO, but that's just me...

I do that here in my garden, it works just fine (the idea is to just wilt the plant, rupturing the cell walls).

There are a lot of people (like this guy) that just lack any common sense & thus suffer from 'Darwin' moments. These people cause their own problems. Heck, these idiots are the reason the have to put directions on shampoo, LOL!!!

On the 'pear burner' I have, the directions had a warning about using the torch to heat the propane tank to increase pressure... I had to shake my head at that one. What person in their right mind would do something that stupid???

Another one that make me laugh is the directions on frozen turkeys that tell you to remove it from the plastic wrapper before putting it in the oven. Seriously, these people should not be allowed to breed because the gene will be passed on to their offspring who then will think that eating a Tide POD is a good thing.
