After I've harvested all I want, can you dig them up and transplant them? It's either that or kill them because garden moved, going to be grass.

I have read that it is very difficult... That being said, I had a plant on another piece of property that had to be moved. So, I dug it up and transplanted it. I'll let you know next year, if it survives!
Since your plans are to move the entire garden- I would certainly give it a try. Let us know how it turns out. Just had asparagus quiche for dinner tonight!

I have never grown asparagus, but when you buy asparagus plants they have to come from established plants, right? It seems like you could transplant, then treat your new bed just like you would if you bought new plants from a grower? Does that make sense?
