I am putting a trellis up between a double row of peas by stringing twine between two posts. How high should the twine be from the ground? How far should the higher rows be spaced apart? Thanks!

The lowest string should be aboug 6" from the ground, then just space them like big netting, 6" square or so.

Do I need to space them vertically in squares as well as horizontally? I've never actually seen one and the pics on the internet sites I've googled all look like the fancier decorative trellises. Thanks!

They grow up, so I'd worry more about the vertical than the horizontal.
