trying to find the name of a cowpea variety

hi,
my neighbor was telling me about a cowpea her father used to plant.she couldn't remember the name of it.the pea was either white or creme colored with red specks all over it.she couldn't remember the pod color either.
anybody know anything about them i would like to try some of them next year.

i finally found out the name of the pea.

Calico Crowder - also goes by Herford pea and Polecat pea.

i have a pack ordered i plan to keep alot of seed back for next year.
