Hmmmm... charging more for less labor to produce a turky and a resulting tougher bird just for the privelege of eating "organic " labeled bird :idunno

@bobm, how would it be less labor?
Consider visiting a professional producer with temperature, lighting, and climate controlled housing , and with bio security ( if one is even allowed to go into the facility ) , with feed specifically formulated by avian nutritionists, and avian veterinarians eather on call vs. a producer that sells his product thru Craig's List. :caf

Niece raised several turkey last year. They averaged 50+ pounds. I got half of one weighing 32 pounds. Huge and delicious. She has more growing this year. Seems she has no problem raising them (fenced-field ranging). Of course, these are not the dumb white birds.
