I can understand.

We can make mistakes in everything. Lost time, embarrassments, missed opportunities, hurt feelings ... Injuries. Be careful with your health.

I used alka seltzer with aspirin as a young man. It just about ruined my stomach. Other anti-inflammatories were prescribed but the stomach couldn't handle them. Opiates made me a dope. Can't think? Can't appreciate life. What's the purpose?

Topical Salicylates can really help but I have some problems. The heat or cold, if I have intense pain, I'm adding more intense sensations. That is uncomfortable when I just want to curl up or stretch out and experience some pleasantness.

Don't know complete answers but doctors and therapists can help. Sharing meds? Risky! Take care and don't re-injure.

NOT HEAT!!!! ICE PACK! and chiropractor. Meds will dull the pain. You may aggravate it worse. Don't lift anything.

@Nyboy :hugs get yourself to the doctor as quick as you can, find out what you actually did. Treating something like this yourself may work but on the other hand it might just get worse.
One time with me I was kneeling down weeding, someone called to me, all I did was turn my head to see who it was, I felt a ping in my back and nothing else. An hour later the pain hit and I almost passed out. Went to emergency and found I had tore a ligament/muscle can't remember which. They gave me pain pills and I had to sit with a wet towel and hot water bottle over the area so many times a day, it took awhile.

ICE is my go to for nerve pain or swelling, it's the only thing that works for me even better than morphine or any other opiate I've been given even when in hospital. I know now to just ask for an ice pack.
I guess it's a matter of what your injury really is as to whether you use heat or ice, If I was you I'd get it checked out, the sooner you do the proper treatment the sooner it'll get better.

Years ago, I bent over to get a bowl out of a cupboard. A zipper unzipped and I was in pain and couldn't stand up. I finally got upright, but it took days for it to go away. It was on my right side.

I hope this is easy for you and goes away really fast.

I herniated a disk doing something really stupid. Ended up at specialist who informed me that herniated disks could happen by just twisting wrong. I fight this for rest of my life for one stupid decision. Losing weight helps reduce back pain—now if I could dedicate myself to losing weigh5 & keeping it off.

ICE!! ICE!!! ICE!!!!! I just recently had my first back issue. I wasn't even doing anything. My back went "pop-pop".
Then...back pain. This was last wednesday, Sept 19th. I had forgot about the ice....went straight to heating pad. My bad. By the time I got to look it back up....it re-enforced the ICE. Get you some of those ice/col packs from Amazon, and use them. My pain has almost abated. Not even a week yet. I have been using them before bed, and then sleeping on it.
