A client asked me if I wanted a lamp she was going to chuck. I went to her car and halfway unpacked a bronze lamp of rearing horse. I was very happy to tell her yes I wanted it. When I fully unpacked lamp it is a unicorn not a horse. I no longer want the lamp and not sure why a horn makes a difference .

Maybe you can change the size of the shade where it hides the tip of the horn.

Could you make a water feature out of it with water coming out of the horn? Thinking of a recent thread of yours.

Christmas is approaching, time to re-gift. I'd probably donate it to a charity thrift shop if they'd take it but that's just me. And watch Antique Road Show for a while.

Our 7 year old granddaughter is horse crazy and to satisfy her , son and her mother are catering to her desires with horse back riding lessons. She now has a huge collection of horse and unicorn figurenes. Our twin 1 1/2 year old granddaughters, aka playmates, are looking for more horses to expand their ever increasing exploration horizons ( getting into more mischief ) ever since they saw a few at their mom's friends' farm and now they are in love with horses . They have stuffed horses as their favorite toys to carry around along whith their baby dolls.

I never liked unicorns either, even as a horse crazed girl. Now as a horse crazed old lady I still don't like them.

They just aren't, never can be, real horses. Plus the horn looks dumb. :p

Maybe you could dehorn it.

@bobm if it wasn't so heavy I would mail to you for your granddaughter. Solid bronze was a very expensive lamp

thank you NYboy for your offer to send this work of art to my granddaughter. Well, we could always ask for donations at " go fund Me" site for the shipping charges. :caf How much does this lamp weigh and what is do you think the cost to mail it is ? Grandpa just might spring for it for her birthday present.;)
