radishes I've ever harvested! They were so tasty!
My thinking, too!Chickie'sMomaInNH said:i've used radishes in stir fry before to give it a little bite and as a substitute to water chestnuts when i didn't have any on hand.
It's surprising how few people realize radishes are good for cooking. They don't agree with me raw but I like them cooked. You can use them in place of turnips. Have you ever tried them pickled? They take on a nice red color all the way through.Come to think of it, it's radish time here in San Diego and I haven't planted any yet.Kassaundra said:Quarter them and saute them in butter, garlic powder and pepper, they are even better!
Well, who knew there were so many types of radish! I'd love the try the Red Meat and The Green Meat Radish - not so sure I'm ready for radish pudding tho. And I think I'll try my hand at radish carving with the Mantanghong Hybrid.digitS' said:My thinking, too!Chickie'sMomaInNH said:i've used radishes in stir fry before to give it a little bite and as a substitute to water chestnuts when i didn't have any on hand.
