I'm looking to try a new rhubarb or 2. Have any of you tried Victoria? Its supposed to be naturally sweet and quite flavorful. I'm wondering if their rating of sweet is sweet on its own or sweet compared to other rhubarb.
You know, IME the difference in taste due to how it is grown (am'ts of fertilizer, sun, water, etc) is hugely larger than the difference in taste between different rhubarb cultivars.
The major difference, if you ask me, is between the very red-stemmed ones, and the light pink-to-green stemmed ones... and that's mainly a visual difference, not so much a culinary one.
