for a fall harvest. My question is, can I put them outside? The temps are in the 90's already and looks like it will be that way for the rest of the summer.

Yup, I started 45 yesterday. Louisiana Pink, Black Plum and Atkinson. I put them on my patio.lesa said:I would try it- do you have a space that is protected and not in full sun?
This time of year you can plant them right into the ground and save the trouble of starter pots. Seed a lot more than you want to take care of casualties and then thin to the healthiest ones.Southern Gardener said:for a fall harvest. My question is, can I put them outside? Trouble is, I don't have any room in the garden right now!hoodat said:This time of year you can plant them right into the ground and save the trouble of starter pots. Tell me about it. I am just finishing planting and they are complaining about not having enough room for their "second garden" plants. A second garden here is when the crows eat all the seed you planted the first time and you have to plant more. I won't even be harvesting anything for another 5-6 weeks. I just get to look at their pics and think happy thoughts.NurseNettie said:Oh, I really need to move south!!! I want a longer growing season!!!!!
