Our daughter sold her Ford Explorer to a couple from Temple, Tx and we met in Terrell, Tx. DH and I went so we could bring her back home. I had been to Buc-ees once before with our DD and was knocked over by the most fantabulous truck stop I had ever seen. I took pictures for my DH, but seeing is believing. Heck, I even took pictures of the bathroom! Buc-ees is the place for a junk food junkie to get an overdose. Rows and rows of all kinds of candy, rows and rows of snack foods, a lunch counter, a fudge counter, a jerky counter (they give samples) :drool even fresh fruit!

There is all kinds of merchandise, lots of Texas stuff for souvenirs, clothing, sporting goods, outdoor cooking gear, stuffed animals, fun stuff, purses, dishes and lots more.
I hugged a brightly striped hammock. I loved the bright colors. DD told me that I needed to settle on a style, "All of them is not a style". :gig There was part of an old pick up made into a bench, so we took pictures.

We bypassed the gift boxed selfie stick, DD's arm was sufficient.

Having 3 grandsons, ages 7, 5, and 3 the butt vocabulary is quite intense. They will love the pants. Butt squeak is their new favorite. We had a nun guest for Thanksgiving and their Dad had a long talk with them before our guest arrived. Some how they held off and were very charming. We also forwarned her. But she has been all over the world teaching naughty boys in several languages so, claims she has seen it all.

Now @thistlebloom you know my daughter isn't adopted! We never went through all that blasted paperwork stuff! We found her in a dumpster and just took her home with us. And she is just fine with that--being raised by lunatics sure beats being crushed by a garbage truck. :gig

@Nyboy the front of the truck isn't there, it was shelves for clothes. My style has always been "Piece of Crap Nobody Else Wants" and I would drag it home, redo it and convince myself that it was wonderful. About 15 years ago, I dumped the house and bought all new furniture. When we moved here, most of that wouldn't fit so we sold most of our furniture and I get to start over. We did keep our recliners! :thumbsup And DH's 60" TV!! Since we sold our bedroom set, I bought adjustable beds with massage and I highly recommend them.

@so lucky these stores must be seen to be believed. The store, gas pumps and parking lot must cover 20 acres. It is fun just to go and poke through the store and look at all the merchandise. @journey11 I didn't buy the hammock because I want to get the porch finished, stain the deck, refinish the church pew and figure out what I am going to put on it. 12'x54' sounds huge, but I am already wishing I had stuck to my guns and insisted on the 16'x54' porch I wanted to start with.

Our DD is a pretty good sport, being as it has always been my mission in life to embarrass my kids every chance I got. The end result is that they are practically bullet proof and I haven't been able to embarrass either of them in a very long time. I have been known to put a dog bowl on my head in Wal Mart, drag one leg, drool, speak tongue-tied and chase my kids who were desperately running away from me. :thumbsup

@aftermidnight I'll call you next time we go to Buc-ees and you can meet us there. :clap
