The little finger on my left hand. Hurt it in 06 transplanting Poplars. Probably broke it back then, but just splinted it. It never healed to be able to quite straighten out.

I can feel THAT SHARP LITTLE TINGLE IN IT!

The thumb on my left hand. Playing football back in 79, quarterbacking of course, lost my halfback to a double rush, sprinted right to get the ball off to my tight end. As I released I was tackled from a rush on my left side, crushing my thumb. Felt like the main thumb bone got bent but not broken.

I can feel THAT SHARP LITTLE TINGLE IN IT TOO!

I think we have some cold weather coming in! Thought I'd mention it before looking at the weather service pages. My bones tell me it'll be cold and wet.

I've got a couple good predictors too...not from breaks but my nemesis Arthur-itis :( Knees and elbows mostly...when they get an ache beyond the norm, I know we've got a pressure system approaching. Thankfully, nothing out of the ordinary today so I'm thinking that, while it's pretty chilly and breezy, we shouldn't be getting anything really nasty for today at least ;)

Feeling better, Marshall? Sure hope so!

I love the ad for the coughdrops that have the "pep talk" in every drop. The wrappers say things like "Don't waste a precious minute!" and "You know you can do it!" So, Marshall, Get back in there, Champ!:thumbsup

yeah, i feel those types of pangs and pains too when wet and cold weather start coming through. fractured my knee one summer doing stupid kid stuff. a few years later gave myself a concussion so bad that i had been knocked out for a few hours and i still have a slight goose egg on the back of my head that gets that hurting tingling feeling that just screams to me that some storm must be coming in. hands i haven't figured out if it is really carpal tunnel or tendonitis, or i just sleep on my shoulder the wrong way, but those start hurting too. all this past week they've been hurting me and the pain killers haven't been doing their job to well. :( we are predicted to have lousy, wet and occasional snow all week over this direction.

I can do about 12 hours on my own, Marshall.

It just takes a radar map :p.

The other day, the Seattle radar was down. The storm was a typical "winter storm" which haven't been too common the last few years. Anyway, it should have been hitting Vancouver about 12 hours ahead of here. Canadian weather showed it - everything disappeared below 49North! Since it was so far north, I wasn't checking NOAA to know that the US radar was down. I was nearly beside myself with confusion!

Now if I had to use my bones . . :/ . I'd probably never venture out of the house.

Got those, too! The last few weeks have been pretty achy with an active weather pattern. Mostly hands and feet and sometime toss in the lower back. UGH.

Sure enough, it started drizzling. Weather site says a mild rain passing by us. Also says heavy seas all along the pacific coast.

Ha ha, I thought this thread was going to be about that old joke - you know the one:

Weather Bone - it never lies
Hang a chicken bone outside your window
If it's wet, it's raining
If it's swaying, it's windy
If it's coverd in white stuff, it's snowing
If you can't see it, it's foggy
.......

Recently I told my doctor that I could predict the weather by the aches and pains in my bones, and she looked at me like I was insane and just shook her head. I don't care what she thinks, as quite often I can tell if it is going to rain or snow several hours before it actually does. My wife often asks me: "is is going to rain?" It is kind of a mixed blessing. Perhaps I have a future as a TV weather man.
