Have a gander at the cake. Wifey makes theme cakes, this ones from: Man from Snowy River. Some of the presents are: An outback hat, a stick and string and a Australian Bull Whip.

I could see a cake like that in my imagination, but I lack the patience to follow through.

How fun! Looks like she did a great job; I bet it tastes good too. Is the stick and string a joke, or is there a practical application to it? My son usually ends up wrapping pieces of wood for each of his kids' birthday and Christmas; it has become a family joke.

Having a cake that mom made special is the best birthday gift a kid can have.

I can't remember most of the gifts I got, but I can see all the different cakes my mom created for our birthdays.
